Write a poem inspired by The Open Exhibition

22 June 2016

It is simple - just create a poem that is an imaginative response to any painting in our Open Exhibition and enter it into our competition by Thursday 30 June.
There are three age categories, Under 12s (cash prize of £40), 13-17 (cash prize of £60) and over 18 (£100 cash prize).
The competition is part of this year's Lymington Arts Festival.
Prizes will be awarded at a Poetry, Painting and Song event at St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery on Friday 8 July at 5.30pm.
During this event poets Robyn Bolam and Lydia Fulleylove will launch the Ferry Tales Project - reading from and talking about their work.
They will be joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Armfield.
Robyn is the author of several books including New Wings poems 1977 - 2007, which was a Poetry Book Society recommendation.
Lydia's work has been described as 'invoking tidal rhythms and human emotions, wild animals and fragile landscapes.'
'Exquisitve, extraordinary, almost unbearably beautiful,' is the latest reviewers description of Paul's music.
