7 August 2020

As you probably know, traditionally St Barbe runs Children’s Activities in the Museum over the school holidays – we didn’t want the current Covid restrictions to make this August any different. With us unable to socially distance in our McCarthy Room we have taken ‘St Barbe at Large’ outside in the fresh air!

Every Tuesday and Friday during August from 11am to 3pm we are running FREE Children’s Craft Activities at Emsworth Recreation Ground – along School Lane next to St Barbe.

We have devised a range of craft activities for all ages, in a socially distanced, fun, friendly environment. With different crafts planned for each session you could be creating a sea creature, trying your hand at nature printing or contributing to our community painting – a recreation of artist Paul Burshall’s artwork ‘Good Forecast’ currently on display in our Open Sesame! Exhibition. The painting has been divided into sections and you are invited to create your own version to join together and make our own unique artwork.

Just turn up and join in the FUN!

With grateful thanks to our supporters Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation and Heritage Fund.
