Description

Summary: tinted postcard showing view looking west of the High Street, Lymington, Lymington and Pennington, Hampshire, dated 20 June 1906

Identification note: Although the card has a divided back, Post Office regulations stated that the left-hand side could only be used for correspondence within the British Isles, and the recipient was in Canada. The sender has therefore written her message on the front of the card. She and the recipient, a Mr H.M. Wood, were clearly collectors of postcards: It reads: ‘Thanks for pretty P.C. How many have you? I have just 500 nearly all views which I prefer. Beatrice A. Symes. 20.6.06.’
