Summary: Wellworthy red and white card packet or envelope, stapled together. Designed to contain 3 rings, 2 remain. Printed with "Mile Master Motor Cycle Matched Piston Ring Set for' In the white rectangle at the bottom a typed section reads Villiers 1948/52. Set No M49, Mk 1F & 2F, 2 comp. 47 + 040 x 3/32 x 068, e.5 D/30, +040. Side edge also printed with 'M49 Villiers 1948/52 +040' so that could be stored upright. When you open the packet the inner left is printed with Fitting Instructions for Compression Rings, middle section printed with 'The Choice of the Expert', right hand side printed with Fitting Instructions for solid rings, back (though folded so is read first on opening) is printed Reliability and that Wellworthy rings have been used in the TT and International Events for 30 years. rear has buff with red box and 5 red vertical stripes with the printed Manufactured by Wellworthy Limited Radial Works, Lymington, Hampshire, England. Made by Wellworthy and Co, Lymington, Lymington and Pennington, Hampshire, from the 1940s and 1950s

Identification note: Collection came originally from a firm in Jersey which held a lot of Wellworthy spares as it was so far away from the factory
