Summary: photograph, black and white, probably a copy printed from an older photograph, East Grove House from the garden where an elderly couple are sitting on a bench, possibly Admiral Sartorius who lived there until 1880's, shows conservatory since removed

Identification note: East Grove House in Grove Road. This was once home to Sir George Rose Sartorius (1790 – 1885). Sartorius served as a midshipman on HMS Tonnant at the Battle of Trafalgar and eventually became Admiral of the Fleet. He died at East Grove House and is buried at South Baddesley Church. He may be the bearded gentleman seated on the bench.
