Summary: flint, 100 blades found at South Sway Orchard, Sway, Hampshire, since 1985

Summary: Donor, former owner of orchard, found flints at extreme southern tip of the property, where land slopes north and east from the junction of the Avon water and its tributary stream. Soil - sandy loam. About 80 per cent of finds were made within one tenth of a hectare. The land was formerly part of the fields of Lower Mead. A previous collection of 600=700 flints was given by the donor to the Red House.
