Summary: postcard, "The Gardens, Walhampton" circular garden with hedge, stone mills and statues, message on postcard, posted 1908

Identification note: bought for £3 in Milford on Sea Stamp Club sale March 2011, lot 269

Identification note: Immediately to the north of the Terrace, were surrounded by clipped yew hedges. There is photographic evidence that the Sunken Garden, and the gardens generally, contained a lot of statuary, most of which has subsequently disappeared. There were also many small columns, another Peto characteristic feature, which have also disappeared.
