Identification note: The lakes were surrounded by specimens of Scotch Pine and Acers, and edged with japonicas and moisture loving ferns. They were approached by beautiful glades that led past a sunken garden known as ‘The Rotunda’, which was planted with rhododendrons and hydrangeas.
