Identification note: In the 1920s Eva Adams inherited this house and turned it into an unusual guesthouse with fine furniture, watercolours and books. The guest house featured excellent cooking, 13 cats and huge jigsaws on display. Harewood House was immortalized as ‘Damerosehay’ by the author Elizabeth Goudge who stayed here. It was later demolished and redeveloped.
