Summary: sink, rectangular earthenware integral sink and drainer in dark brown glaze, removed from the lean-to scullery at Trevin Cottage, Pilley, Boldre, Hampshire, in 1960, manufactured about 1880

Summary: Doulton and Co moved to Burslem, Staffordshire in 1882. According to the company archivist this sink is typical of the company's production about 1875-1880.

Summary: donor's first husband was Mr Figgins, whose family who had lived at Trevin Cottage since the 1920s, and elsewhere in Pilley before that.
