Identification note: After the death of Victorinus in AD 271 his mother Victoria briefly took power, before bribing the troops to support her nominee Tetricus I. His rule over the Gallic Empire appears to have been both peaceful and prosperous until Aurelian, ruler of the Central Empire, decided to reunite the Roman Empire. Tetricus agreed to submit to Aurelian, who spared his life.
