Summary: photograph, sepia, of the mayor and burgesses on the balcony of the Angel Hotel, High Street, Lymington, decorated for the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Villiers Dent, the mayor, is making his address to the crowd, while reporters to his left take notes. Also on the balcony is Canon Maturin, Vicar of Lymington.

Identification note: After the town hall was demolished in 1856 the Town Council met at the Angel Hotel. Here the mayor addresses a crowd on the day of Edward VII's coronation in 1902.
