Summary: plan, photocopy of 'Plan of the town of Lymington', Lymington and Pennington, Hampshire, made by John Wood, 1841

Identification note: This plan shows Lymington in 1841 when farmland extended into the centre of the town. The beginnings of new housing developments can just be seen in Southampton Buildings and Highfield. The corn mill is still in existence on its mill pond and some salt workings at Vienna Dock.
