Description

Summary: colour slide, Everton - new wooden church under construction. Dated July 1967 (date of printing slides).

Summary: part of a large collection given by the estate of the late V.A.L. Bradyll-Johnson. Then registered as 1990.87 "2 wooden box of slides to be sorted later". Some slides now in mounts, so undated but all likely to be 1970s. Date printed on card mount is date when film was processed by Kodak. Slides taken either by V Bradyll-Johnson or by his brother, the Rev Canon Bradyll-Johnson, before 1981 of their house in Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire and of local scenes, including some of the last steam trains at the station, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, 1967.

Summary: Commander Bradyll-Johnson (1897-1981) lived 1944-1981 at 6 Park Lane, built in 1935 by his parents, the Rev Bradyll-Johnson, former vicar of St Clement's, Oxford, and Mrs Bradyll-Johnson. The house was demolished 1990.
