Summary: Mrs Dorothy May Gale (b. 1900) was the daughter of Frederick George Underwood (d. 1953) and Bertha Frances Underwood (d. 1948), licensees of the Crown Inn at Everton during World War I. She attended Oriel House School about 1915 and married Hubert William Hampton Gale (b. 1900) in 1928. They lived first at 'The Laburnums', Pennington (given to them by his mother in 1934), then at Flanders Farm (until 1950), then at 'The Gables', Partridge Road, Brockenhurst (1950=1952) then at 'Dilkoushi', Hazel Road, Pennington (from 1952), and finally at 44 Middle Road, Lymington (from 1964).
