D-Day Talk at the Village Hall by Marc Heighway from the New Forest and Hampshire Wartime Association and Professor Adrian Smith from Southampton University.

Marc will be talking about the twelve New Forest Airfields, of which Sway was one, as well as one of the wars biggest air tragedies in Britain during the war, which occurred over Sway.

Adrian, who has written several books on different aspects of the war, will talk about the Sherwood Rangers who were based in the village prior to D-Day, and a famous writer, Captain Keith Douglas, who was one of them.
