Art and Photography – a personal journey by John Stork, fine art photographer

John Stork became a more active photographer some fifteen years ago, following an international career, mainly in advertising and management consulting. He says, ‘I am happy photographing almost anything, but today my primary interest is in fine art images, pictures I would be happy to have hanging at home’.

John has also collected pictures by modern British artists for many years. During his talk he will discuss both the influence of these artists and the effect of recent travel restrictions on the development of his photography.

The focus of his earlier work was on ‘People and Places’ in India, China and elsewhere around the world. Now it is more exploratory with an even greater emphasis on fine art, often photographed around Lymington.

The talk will be illustrated by a range of images showing this progression, including some from John’s forthcoming exhibition ‘Impressions’. Other work can be seen on his website: www.johnstorkimages.com.

Friends Talks are held in the Lymington Baptist Church (opposite St Barbe) | Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7.30pm | All welcome | Friends FREE | Guests £5
