St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery will be hosting an event over two afternoons showcasing their historic collection of images covering local water sports and events on the water.
We have looked through our collection and gathered together a selection of nostalgic images each with a story to tell. These include early Regatta pictures from the 1900s alongside more colourful versions from the 2000s, as well as photos of rowing, sailing and swimming through the years. The images are full of local people, so why not come along to see how many you can recognise or whether there are any pictures of you?
This free event will be held at St Barbe on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 October from 2–4pm. All visitors are welcome to drop in for tea and biscuits and to share their memories, or just join in to look through the lovely photos of times gone by, which are sure to make you smile.
