Join us this August for fun filled activity afternoons and a hot meal!

St Barbe in partnership with Lymington Community Centre are delighted to be delivering the St Barbe’s Summer Bash Holiday Activities. Free activities for ALL families to try… pottery, yoga, crafts, mindfulness, table tennis – lots of FUN for all ages! Different activities every weekday (accept Tuesdays) 12-4 during August. Includes LUNCH (*free for families on income related free school meals)

Donations to attend a session would be greatly appreciated – what ever you can afford!

* Families receiving benefit related free school meals are funded by the Department for Education, Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. Funds have been made available to provide free holiday provision, including healthy food and enriching activities, for children aged 5-16.


Monday (Mad for it) activity sessions will be exploratory using arts and crafts to produce a fun themed outcome i.e. a dance, play or small exhibition. Example sessions include:  Running Wild- A drama theatre session - Putting together a short fun play based on our summer exhibition WILD  using animal costumes that have been made specifically for the exhibition including fox, badger, owl etc.
Wednesday (Wellbeing) activity sessions combining a mix of creative therapeutic exercises with Mindfulness techniques and tools to build a greater awareness of emotions, what makes us unique and getting to know our mind and body. These sessions are for children and parent/carer to work together and connect and are tailored for all ages. To include Yoga and mindfulness movement.
Thursday (Throwback) activity sessions are all about using the museum collection to explore stories, events and landscapes using different mediums, film, photos, arts and craft storytelling, theatre improvisation. The first two weeks of the programme we will offer professional tutored Pottery sessions. These sessions are aimed at families and are appropriate for all ages. 
Friday (Festival) For 11-16 year olds only. Using contemporary ideas and working with creative mediums such as filmmaking and digital arts to develop new skills and creative thinking.

Please note:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays a parent/carer must accompany their child at all times.

Fridays are specifically for young people aged 11 -16 years old only – no accompanying adult required.

Parking is available on site – please let us know if you require a parking space when booking. Return travel tickets can be refunded, please ask when booking your place.

Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking.
