Identification note: East Grove House in Grove Road. This was once home to Sir George Rose Sartorius (1790 – 1885). Sartorius served as a midshipman on HMS Tonnant at the Battle of Trafalgar and eventually became Admiral of the Fleet. He died at East Grove House and is buried at South Baddesley Church.
