St Barbe extends a very warm welcome to children and families. We’re signed up to the Kids in Museums manifesto, which means we’re a friendly and welcoming place for our younger visitors.
There are lots for kids to explore in our museum, but you definitely won’t want to miss our replica pilot boat. And we’ll need you to keep an eye on our knitted farm animals, which get up to all kinds of mischief as soon as our backs are turned.
You’re welcome to investigate the temporary exhibitions in the art galleries too. Sometimes it can be a little quiet in there, but don’t let that put you off! You’ll find text panels specifically aimed at kids to help you understand the artwork on display and in the summer we give the entire gallery space over to an exhibition specifically aimed at children.
