Dennis Wheatley

Our latest online exhibition explores the life and work of the author Dennis Wheatley. Wheatley lived at Grove Place in Lymington from 1945 to 1968.

The exhibition includes a fantastic filmed talk by John J Johnston, cultural historian and Editor at Large of, who makes clear how Wheatley uses unsettling landscapes to full effect in his work.

This online exhibition runs alongside St Barbe’s blockbuster exhibition ‘Unsettling Landscapes: The Art of the Eerie’.

Below we also have exhibitions about Allen William Seaby, local estates & country houses and John Howlett & Wellworthy. We are always adding new exhibitions so check back regularly.
