Identification note: A boiling house, brine storage tank, wind pumps and evaporating pans near Lymington. This picture, sketched by Edward King (1821 - 1885), shows the salterns as he remembered them in the early 19th century. The furnaces and boiling pans can be seen through the door of the boiling house.
