Summary: Kirkman's was taken over by Savory and Moore before 1960 and closed in 1991. Up to (c)1970 eye drops were still made in the dispensary. Mr Kirkman used his motor cycle combination for fire brigade work.
Identification note: Used to make pills that looked a little like Flying Saucer sweets, but were filled with crushed or powdered herbs instead of sherbet.
