Summary: digital image, scan of black and white photograph of Edward and Dagny Sarasen and their children Jill, Richard and June at Tiptoe, 1940s.

Identification note: Dagny, who was born in Norway, married Edward Sarsen and they moved into Tiptoe Lodge in 1938. During the war Dagny became active in the Hordle WI and toured Hampshire, lecturing to WIs on the Norwegian resistance against the Germans. She also entertained at Tiptoe Norwegian resistance fighters who had escaped across the North Sea. For this work, she was given an audience with King Haakon VII in London in 1944. She died at Tiptoe in 1967.
