Lymington Open Gardens

Open Gardens is a major fundraiser for the museum and great fun, attracting 750+ visitors and raising nearly £6,000 for the museum.

Thanks to a brilliant response from our Garden Owners we will be running Lymington Open Gardens on Sunday 29 May 2022

We need help from stewards, cake makers and other volunteers.  We also need PLANTS AND SEEDLINGS of any kind for our plant stalls.

Help is needed for organising especially banners etc, social media and publicity if you would like to join David Moulton, Pam Perry and Jackie Millard as the organising group please get in touch.

Time commitment is patchy with some busy spells and then weeks of waiting followed by a busy couple of weeks before the day – just like gardening in fact. A private view of the gardens is organised for all helpers so you don’t miss out.

If you would like to know more or offer to help on the committee then please contact Jackie on enquiries@stbarbe-museum.org.uk  or call the museum on 01590671600 and leave a contact number and one of us will return your call.

  1. Are there open gardens in 2023 I can only find information about open gardens in 2022. I am a keen gardener and will be moving to Lymington from Bath in the summer.

    • Hello Sarah
The Open Gardens are a bi-annual event. The next one will be 2024.
There is of course the National Garden Scheme locally, which will be going ahead as usual (I assume!)
      Many thanks
